A space within an exhibition
Habitable architecture that can serve as a room, threshold, meeting point or setting for an activity.
✳ FOR CURATORS · MUSEUMS · EXHIBITION PRODUCERS
A habitable space made from reclaimed hot-air balloon fabric. Temporary architecture for cultural programmes, festivals and gatherings, experienced from within.
Inflatable art exhibitions and immersive installations are opening new ways to connect artwork, space and audience. Balloon Museum is one international example, bringing works by different artists together in curated exhibitions.
Iglú de Vent is an independent project with a different scale of intervention: it creates inhabitable inflatable architecture from hot-air balloon fabric that has reached the end of its flying life. The interior can host music, theatre, light, workshops and artistic proposals, shaped around each context.
Explore Balloon Museum ↗Jordi Enrich can work with curators, artists, museums, festivals and producers to explore how a Wind Igloo could take part in an exhibition, a site-specific installation or an audience experience.
The starting point might be the venue’s architecture, the curatorial idea, the participating works or the relationship the audience is invited to experience. The proposal and production responsibilities are agreed for each project.
Jordi Enrich Jorba is the creator of Iglú de Vent, a designer and art teacher in Igualada. Since 2011, he has transformed reclaimed hot-air balloon fabric into installations and inhabitable spaces. He develops projects for festivals, institutions, companies and bespoke events.

Concerts, talks, workshops and live arts inside a structure that is already part of the scenography.

✳ AN ESTABLISHED PRACTICE
Based in Igualada, Iglú de Vent has taken part in 100+ events and projects in Catalonia and internationally. The work spans festivals, heritage venues, music, art and learning.
Explore projects and contexts ↗A collaboration begins with a conversation about the venue, dates, programme and audience experience. The structure’s feasibility and the technical, logistical and safety requirements then need to be reviewed with the teams involved.
Dimensions, capacity, installation, power needs and indoor or outdoor use depend on the structure and project. They are confirmed before a proposal is made.
